A 1951 Hollywood musical comedy set in London, at the time of the wedding between Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. The film stars fred Astaire and Jane Powell (Tom and Ellen) a brother and sister dance duo, echoing the real life theatrical relationship of Fred and Sister Adele.
Their travel to London see’s them on a cruise ship, where Ellen sets eyes on Lawford, who plays an English aristocrat, (mirroring Adele’s romance and eventual marriage to Lord Charles Cavendish). Upon their arrival in London, Tom holds auditions where he too meets a lovely lady named Sara.
